DESCRIPTION:
Diamond, platinum and enamel pin with crossed rifles at center, 92 round European cut and mine cut diamonds weigh approximately 4.80 ctw, pin measures 28mm x 58mm, an incredibly unusual piece with an interesting alleged history. Gross weight 9.6 dwt (15.0 g). The consignor alleges this pin was a gift to shipping magnate Marcelino Garcia Rubiera from the then Dictator Francisco Franco for services rendered before, during and after World War II.
CONDITION:
Pin shows light wear with loss of enamel to the 5 at center and the tips of the rifles becoming unsoldered from the top.
